简介：杰弗里是好莱坞最著名的制片人之一，苛刻、严峻、贪婪、还是个双性恋者，他与妃耦伊莱恩的两个孩子住在好莱坞富人区马利布山上，过着豪华生活。伊莱恩是一个编剧，可是却为越来越缺乏的缔造力而紧张。为了自己在好莱坞的荣誉，杰弗里一向在想法子，终于初出茅庐的编剧罗伯特引发了他的注意。罗伯特为死于艾滋病的爱人写了一部脚本，杰弗里出价100万美元获得了其改编权，条件是让伊莱恩进入改编中，而且要把脚本中的女性改成男性。这份事情不单重燃了伊莱恩创作的热情，也让罗伯特异常高兴，但没有想到这也让三人之间的关系变得庞杂起来了……
