简介：忻口战争是抗日战争早期中国戎行在晋北抗击日本侵犯军的一次大规模的战争。战争从1937年10月13日至11月2日，用时二十一天。加入作战的部队有阎锡山的晋绥军、公民党的中间军和中国共产党领导的八路军（又称第十八集团军）。这次战争是由第二战区（司令长官阎锡山，朱德、卫立煌副之）指挥实施的太原会战的中间战争。该战争创歼敌逾万的纪录，是国共两党联结合作、在军事上相互配合的一次胜利范例……这次会战虽然中国方面失利，支出了重大牺牲，可是中国守军英勇抵抗，从而消耗了大批敌军，争夺了时间。这一战争破坏了日军的河北平原会战计划，使平汉线中国戎行得以南撤。
